Our History is Solid

The history behind CFO Business Partners is full of accounting and financial management experience.
CFO Business Partners began in 1994. The founder, David C. Osborn, a graduate of the University of Colorado (Boulder) and a Certified Public Accountant (inactive), began his career of financial management in a well-known national accounting firm in Denver, CO. After relocating to Minneapolis in 1985, Mr. Osborn's experience as a Controller evolved in both the private and non-profit sectors.
During its early years, CFO Business Partners spent a significant amount of time focusing on tax return preparation and software consultation in the advertising industry. In recent years CFO has focused its practice on accounting for non-profit organizations, churches and ministries.
During 2003, CFO became a local representative for Blackbaud's (TM) Financial Edge (TM), an accounting software application for non-profit, governmental, and educational institutions.   Although Blackbaud discontinued it's channel program in 2005, local non-profits continue to look to CFO for assistance in using the Financial Edge.
